Automatic watches differ from quartz watches in their operation and maintenance needs. An automatic watch requires an initial manual winding by turning the crown at the 3 o’clock position about 20 times. This process charges the mainspring, enabling the watch to function. After this, the watch self-winds through an oscillating weight that moves with the wearer’s motions. It’s advised to wear an automatic watch for at least eight hours daily to keep it powered. If left unworn for more than 15 hours, re-initiation of the manual winding process is necessary.

Water Resistance and Shock Protection
This Aikman Watches timepiece is designed to withstand normal shocks during everyday use. However, it should be protected from severe impacts, such as dropping onto hard surfaces, which can harm the watch’s mechanism.
The label ‘3, 5, or 10 ATM Water Resistant’ indicates that the watch can endure brief water exposure, like being caught in the rain. It’s not, however, suitable for prolonged water activities such as bathing, showering, or diving.
